Who I am
Hi! I’m Liz and I’m the designer, maker and very busy hands behind Bluebell Love. I work in my small studio space on Dartmoor in Devon.....where my Shih Tzu Bessie keeps me company.
What I do
I hand print my own fabric designs and lovingly sew them into little goodies and gifts. Everything in my shop is lovingly designed and handmade by myself with a lot of care, time and thought and make perfect gifts for friends, family or yourself.
My Process
I love transforming white cotton into colourful gifts by using a mixture of screen and block printing. All of my products start from a roll of cotton that's about the same height as me!
My designs start from rough drawings in my notebook that I then either carve out of lino to create individual stamps or create a new screen. Often my designs are made up of a mix of both screen and block printing. For example, for my Rainy Days duck design I screen print the ducks body, the raindrops and the main umbrella and then block print the break, feet and umbrella handle to finish him off.
The process that I use to make my fabrics is what makes every finished item unique and individual.
Fabric prints
My fabric designs are inspired from my surrounding Devonshire countryside and all the things that I love. They feature rabbits, mice, beach huts, wildflowers, Seagulls and other Devon delights.

Product Care
I print onto 100% cotton that is carefully heat set when finished so that my prints can be machine washed at 30C, but please so check out the details in each product description as some of them have different care needs.
Caring for the Environment
All of my packaging is plastic free and my paper packaging comes from recycled or sustainable sources.
I print mostly onto rectangle squares so that I create very little waste materials, but as I only use 100% cotton the teeny bits of offcuts that I do have go onto the compost heap in my garden and eventually end up in my veg plot!
